In todays lesson I continue with the editing of our music video

Here are some of the screenshot of some of the editing, i most focus on the lip syncing parts of the music video

7/12/11 Location-behind the scenes.

Today we continue filming part of our music video within the school, the part that we filmed was the part of which our Singer ( Molly) lip syncing.

This is one of the location that we filmed in, this hall is above the sixth form common room. In this location we filmed Molly lip syncing to some of the song and dancing but mainly the lip syncing for the song.

We also filmed in other parts of the school such as in the science department

Here are some of the images of Molly dancing in front of a large images of a heart that can be located in the science department.
We have also film in a different part of the science department where their are different images in the background of Molly lip syncing to a different part of the song.

Jornal 2/12/11

In today lesson we continue are individual work on our blogs and the digipack.

On my digipack i was able take one of the photo that i'm going to use for my digipack and hopefully would be able to take the rest of the images in the weekend.

Journal 28/11/11

Today we decided to choose the clips that we are going to use for our music video, we are also reconsider of refilm some of the parts as we didn't use a tripod while we was film the fireworks scenes.

16/11/11

Today we continued our separate digipack for our artist, most of the image for my digipack will be from our music video and some would be origami images that I would be making.

7/11/11

On Saturday, Charlotte and Libby filmed the local firework display in Danson Park with our lead singer Molly dancing in the fun fair, which the firework happening. On Monday I was able to transfer the footage of the firework that was recorded on Saturday night to Final Cut Pro.

So far the footage have not yet been edited.

04/11/11

Charlotte, Libby and I went to a local party store and brought the first confetti cannon, ready to be used when we decided to start filming. The price of the cannon was £5.99 and a large cannon would cost us £9.99

The cost of the music video is currently £9.99.

Journal 21st October

In today lesson we continue drawing our storyboards for our music video, we only have a few shot to draw and discuss, the storyboard would be finish at the end of the lesson.

Journal 17 October

Today we continue our storyboard for the music videos, we suggested different idea that we can use for the 'zing boom' , one of the ideas was the uses of fireworks for one of the 'Booms'. We then discuss the camera angles that we are going to use in this part of the music videos.

We also had the idea of having the toy soldiers parachutes being trapped having their them cut off, this also allow us to have some of the animation in our music video aswell.

Journal 07 October

In today lesson we show our storyboard to the whole group and get feedback from the whole class, the only feedback we got was to show a stage performance in our music video.

We now have to create an audience profile for our music video.

Journal 5th October

In today lesson we looked at Digipacks and their what they are for, we then describe what a Digipack and how different they are from normal CD. The different was that a Digipack show more detail about the artist and the album then the CD and that it has a different appearance then the CD

Here is an image the Gorillaz digipack for Demon Days on the left and the CD cover on the right.

The Digipack show better image of the band members on their own panel on the inside of the Digipack and on the CD cover show each of the band member on smaller panels on the front cover of the CD.

However both the Digipack and the CD have the same artwork, which can show that it's the band member trademark.

Journal 03 October

We have finished our mood board and taken photographed it.We also had ideas of what editing and effect we would like to use, the idea of paint exploding, marbles or bouncy balls, the only problems of this is that the paint exploding can be complex and both marbles or bouncy balls can be expensive if we have to buy large quantity of marbles/ bouncy balls so that it can be effective in the music video.

we have also suggested location we would like to film in studio/warehouse or london.

In the first lesson we looked at the codes and convention of music videos and the history of music videos. We watched a number of music video on of them was Queen Bohemian Rhapsody

One of the music video we look at was Bob Dylan music video Subterranean Homesick Blues which was said to be one of the first music video, also was said to one of the first modern music video

The music video Queen Bohemian Rhapsody was the first music video introduce special effects in their music video.

We also talked about camera work and technical codes, such as

camera movement, angles and shots and camera distance need to be analysed in music video.

fast cut montages are common editing in music video.

Another one was Ok Go music video music video This Too Shall Pass, the music video was one of the music video that had no editing in their music video.

We also look that music video that have film references in the music video, such as lady gaga music video for telephone, as they presented the music video as a short film which lasted for 9 mins
