• Rough Trade allow their artist to develop and improve as one of their programs and allow them to develop their own music as their own paces, which is different to major music company programs such as the X factor.

What successes have they had at this time ?

They allow one of their artist Duffy to develop, which lead them to have a number one on the charts, this was their first number one since The Smiths

How had Rough Trade's ideology developed for the company in the present day ?

Their ideology that they had in the past was that they had no experiences about the music industry, but now they have the knowledge and experiences is compete with the major record company.
